I am very disappointed with the level of service I got from the management at this dealership. I saw on their website that they had a kia sportage for sale. The next day I went to look for it again and it had disappeared so I called a couple days later to see if maybe they still had it or if it had sold already. I spoke with Lee there and he advised me that it had been sent off to auction but was coming back and would be available on the friday. We arranged for me to see it on the saturday and I had worked this out with the owner paul since Lee would not be in on saturday for me to deal with him. I took my dad, boyfriend and my own mechanic with me since I was told there are some issues with it that had yet to be fixed since they were wanting to sell it in the auction which was fine and why I brought my mechanic. We came and saw the vehicle and I loved it immediately and bought the vehicle right there no financing at all. Heres where the customer service goes down hill. They told me they could have the vehicle detailed for me since it was a second hand vehicle and they didnt have the time that day but could have it done for me early monday morning so I could also have it taken over to my mechanic and have it gone over 100%. This did not happen. Lee called me monday and told me it wouldnt be done till 4 in the afternoon I told him since he wasnt aware of it needing to be done earlier that I was told it would be done earlier. He went back to his manager logan and they said it would be done by 3 which was fine. I got out to strathmore to pick up the vehicle from my mechanic and it was awful!! The seats had dirt and grime still on them there was sediment all over the dash where you could see they had wiped it down with something but just left it sitting on the dash and it had dried that way. The smoke smell in the vehicle was so overwhelming I had to drive with the windows down it was so bad. Also a film on the whole dash from the nicotine from the previous owner smoking in the vehicle. Called lee to tell him how upset I was and he said he would speak to Logan and call me back. I got a call from logan and she advised me that for them to get my vehicle done earlier for me they had skipped a few steps and she had spoken to paul and he said that since it was supposed to go to auction anyway that I should be happy with the little bit of a clean that it did get. She told me they could re-do it and make me happy so I set it up to bring it on saturday. She told me she would get lee to call me back and confirm with detail they could fit it in on saturday. We confirmed it and all was well and good to go for saturday. I then got a call on thursday from another salesman since lee wasnt in saying that detail told him to call and they would not be detailing my car on saturday and I would have to come in on monday to have it done. I wasnt happy with this since I work and it would be more convenient for me to come on a saturday. The manager from detail then called me and told me why they had to shampoo the seats and have it sit in a blower for 5-6 hours and they didnt have the time to do that on saturday so I had to come in monday and they would give me a loaner. I work during the week so this wouldnt work for me. I finally told them no thank you since they were unable to have it done properly the first time I couldnt take time off work for them to have my vehicle and detail it. I called lee today to let him know and thank him for all his assistance and the good customer service he did try to give me. He did try to get me to bring it in but he told me they would need to keep it for 2 days and I wasnt willing at this point to leave it that long and possibly have them do it wrong again when it should have been done properly the first time. I was made to feel like a second rate customer by management because I bought the vehicle when it was supposed to go to auction. Take caution when going to this dealership. Lee was very nice to try to work with though so if you do go see him.
Ive made 2 trips here to look at buying a Jeep Cherokee and the first time I went I walked around the lot for about 10 mins and no one bothered to come and ask if I needed any help. I went again today and did the same thing. I walked around the lot looking at the Cherokees and again no one came to see if I needed help. Quite a few employees were having a smoke break but none approached. I found it strange as its the first time Ive ever been on a car lot and NOT approached by a sales person. I figured if they didnt want my business Id gladly take it elsewhere I called when I left to let them know that I was unimpressed with being ignored and would go somewhere where they take the time to find out what I need. I got a call back right away stating they could help me get what I wanted and I let them know I wanted to buy from someone else. They then tried to pass me off to their manager and I said I was done wasting my time as I already made the decision to buy from a Calgary dealership. They called back again to tell me to come back and again I said I didnt want to deal with them. Then I get a call from the owner and he told me he didnt see what the big deal was and that I was upset over nothing. Funny. I get ignored and then harassed and then told by the owner that Im unreasonable. What a pompous ass. Try doing your job instead of berating a customer. Clearly they have no idea what good customer service is. I will NEVER buy or service any vehicle there. Id rather make the trip to Calgary. STAY AWAY unless you want to be ignored and insulted
Thanks Paul and the Murray team for a great sales experience from start to finish! We took two vehicles for test drives on several occasions and Connie provided all the information we needed. When we picked up the vehicle, she made sure we knew how to use all the truck features. The receptionists always had time for us and offered refreshments, Logan and the parts department gave us clear information on pricing and the different options that were available for accessories. We appreciated Donna discussing extended warranty details and protection plans for our northern climate. She was even able to get us a lower rate than originally offered. Brandy did an outstanding job detailing our truck, it looked amazing when we picked it up and she was complimenting her coworkers for their great work, too. Im looking forward to the continued service we will receive from the Murray staff when we bring our truck in for oil changes and cleaning. Thanks again for the efficient and friendly service!
